SQL Server 2000/20005 DBA with UNIX (Insurance), West De Moines, Denver

Job Title : SQL Server 2000/20005 DBA
Location : West De Moines, Denver/WDM
Minimum Experience : 6 plus Years

Must Have Skills:
Must have SQL Server experience
Windows and UNIX platform experience a must, especially AIX and Linux
Experience in logical and physical data modelling.
Knowledge of the differences in SQL syntax for: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
Knowledge of database DDL and DML migrations
Experience with database tuning for large-scale enterprise applications (1000-plus tables, 100Mb+ of data)

Preferred Skills:
All our usual high expectations of soft skills: Good communicator, team player, solution focus and client interaction.

Not Necessary but Nice to have:
Experience working with Java / J2EE / EJB-based solutions is a big plus

Product and Industry Experience:
Experience within the Insurance industry is a nice to have.
Experience working with transaction-centric business applications a big plus

Domain / Vertical Experience: Insurance
Education: BE / B. Tech/ B Sc / ME / M Tech / M Sc / MBA / Any
