The KVS intends to make recruitment for teaching posts for its schools spread all over India. Applications are invited in the prescribed format from the Indian Nationals for Teaching posts in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for the years 2007-08 and 2008-09 and for drawing a panel of candidates:
POST GRADUATE TEACHERS (PGT) : 983 posts (UR-530, OBC-253, SC-137,ST-63)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 6500-200-10500
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 40 YEARS (as on 15 Feb. 2008)
QUALIFICATIONS : (i)Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the respective subjects (ii) B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from recognized University.
(iii) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English media (will be judged by way of descriptive type written examination of +2 standard). Qualification for PGT for Computer Sc. and Bio-Technology saprately mentioned in the detaild advertisement.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS (TGT) : 1154 Posts (UR-601,OBC-306,SC-166,ST-81)

SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 5500-175-9000
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 35 Years (as on 15th February, 2008 )
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : (i) Four Years Integrated degree course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; or Second Class bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) and in aggregate including elective and languages in the combination of Subjects (ii) B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
(iii) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English media (will be judged by way of descriptive type written examination of +2 standard).
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
PRIMARY TEACHERS (PRT) : 1614 Posts (UR-819,OBC-434,SC-241,ST-120)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 4500-125-7000
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 30 Years (as on 15th February, 2008)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : (i) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent; and (ii) Diploma or Certificate in basic teachers’ training of a duration of not less than two years. or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). (iii) Competence to teach through Hindi and English media (will be judged by way of descriptive type written examination of 10th standard).
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications
LIBRARIAN (LIB) : 82 Posts (UR-45,OBC-21, SC-11,ST-5)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 5500-175-9000
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 35 Years (as on on 15th February, 2008)
QUALIFICATIONS : (i) University Degree in Library Science OR Graduate with one year Diploma in Library Science from a recognized Institution. (ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation. (iii) Working Knowledge of Hindi & English.
WORK EXPERIENCE TEACHER (ELECTRICAL GADGET AND ELECTRONICS) : 56 Posts (UR-32,OBC-14,SC-07,ST-03)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 5500-175-9000
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 35 Years (as on 15th February, 2008)
MUSIC TEACHER (MT) : 106 Posts (UR-56,OBC-28,SC-15,ST-07)
SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 4500-125-7000
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 30 Years (as on 15th February, 2008)
