This position requires Database Administration experience, which includes all phases of the project life cycle and direct customer contact.
Experience with Microsoft SQLServer development and administration with a minimum of 5 years experience. Other experience with Data Warehousing, Store Procedure optimization, DTS/ETL (Extract/Transform/Load), SQLServer optimization, Disk space optimization for performance (RAID and SAN), database design, ERWin and logical and physical data modeling, Internet application design and implementation on Microsoft technologies, SQLServer performance monitoring tools, and database replication is desirable. Other required skills include verbal and written communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal, and teamwork.
Additional job responsibilities/activities may include
Assist System Administrator(s) in the installation of SQLServer software.
Responsible for configuration and tuning of all SQLServer databases.
Responsible for database file systems, device lay out and backup/recovery procedures of SQL databases
Responsible for database sizing requirements.
Responsible for connectivity to the database through both two-tier and three tier mechanisms like client connections, ODBC, which excludes LAN or Network connections/failures and drivers installation on client machines.
Responsible for data model and data dictionary maintenance of database.
