The SAP BW Analyst is responsible for the design, build, deployment, and support of new SAP BI / BW solutions, specifically Record to Report (FI module), Supply Chain Planning (APO, DP), Supply Chain (MM / PP modules) and Order to Cash (SD).
Specifically this role will:
Assist functional / process teams during analytics requirements phase.
Receive Functional Requirement input and build high level and detailed technical designs for BW objects. (datasources, DSO, Infocubes, transformations).
Design and build Business Explorer (BEx) queries to support reporting requirements
Collaborating with other BI developers to integrate BEx / BW with MicroStrategy, and assist with issue identification and resolution.
Develop and execute unit test plans for BW objects and queries. Interface with Process Teams during Functional and System Integration Testing to manage defect identification and resolution. Provide support and maintenance of the existing BW environments (dev, QA, and Production).
Work with onshore and offshore development teams to achieve greater development throughput.
Work with development and process teams to manage project scope and expectations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related required Understanding of business
intelligence concepts
6 years IT experience.
Experience as a project team member on at least 2 full lifecycle SAP BI implementations.
3 years with hands on SAP BW 3.5 development (BW and BEx).
Project experience with SAP BW 7.0 .
Experience with ABAP SAP R3 development processes.
Exposure to some of the following modules (FI, MM, SD, and APO).
Strong multi-tasking and problem solving abilities.
Experience working as a member of a project team.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Solution Consultant SAP Netweaver 2004S - Business Intelligence Certification
Solid SQL skills.
Experience integrating with third party reporting tools (Business Objects,
Cognos, MicroStrategy)
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well with others of varying backgrounds and possibly conflicting priorities
Understanding of database design and performance tuning concepts Data modeling and ERWin experience.
Performance monitoring / tuning experience with BW
Compensation:
Base Salary - $85,000 - $95,000
