Company Profile
Sabre Holdings is a world leader in travel commerce, retailing travel products, and providing distribution and technology solutions for the travel industry
Our mission is clear – to connect people with the world’s greatest travel possibilities. As a world leader in the travel marketplace, Sabre Holdings merchandises and retails travel products and provide distribution and technology solutions for the travel industry. Sabre Holdings supports travelers, travel agents, corporations and travel suppliers around the world through its three companies:
Travelocity, the most popular online travel service.
Sabre Travel Network, which includes the world’s largest global distribution system (GDS), connecting travel agents and travel suppliers with travelers.
Sabre Airline Solutions, the leading provider of decision-support tools, reservations systems and consulting services for airlines.
For more than 40 years, Sabre Holdings has transformed the airline industry through technological advancement.
The first passenger reservations system offered by Sabre, installed in 1960, marked a dramatic technological leap forward for the airline industry, automating one of its key business areas. In the following years, Sabre Airline Solutions pioneered technological advances for the industry in areas such as revenue management, pricing, flight scheduling, cargo, flight operations and crew scheduling. And not only did we help invent electronic commerce for the travel industry, the company holds claim to progressive solutions that defined — and continue to revolutionize — the travel and transportation marketplace.
Today, Sabre Airline Solutions continues to build on its history, offering a comprehensive portfolio of technologically advanced decision-support tools that have helped many of the world’s leading airlines enhance their profitability.
From building the first computer reservations system in the 1960s, to blazing the trail for online travel in the 1990s, to delivering the sophisticated, cutting-edge travel solutions of today, Sabre Holdings has made innovation its business.
We are:
Deploying the best technology as a core strategy and a market differentiator
Keeping and growing the highest technical talent in the industry
Focusing on being an agile, industry-leading development organization
This means:
Development groups are highly focused, small teams of people with full responsibility for a product, system, or service
Team members take full accountability for their work
Our focus is to build quality into our products from the start, rather than trying to “test quality in” at the end of development
