Skills: Role: The primary role is supporting unix development and QA environments for builds, deployment, and software configuration management.

Location: Sabre Office, Bangalore
Specific tasks include:
run builds, manages source code branching, merging
maintains and develops scripts for development and scm process automation
document processes, develop training material
monitor troubleshoot remote unix systems, and development applications
perform 1st-3rd level support for unix developer help desk.
Skills:
able to speak and write English clearly to ensure clear communication with U.S. team and customers.
intermediate to expert scripting skills (unix shell, perl, simple web applications)
intermediate to expert developing documentation and training materials
able to plan and execute individual and small team projects
passionate about improving processes, documentation, and customer service
basic knowledge of web-based architecture (Red Hat, Tomcat, Apache, JBoss)
basic knowledge of web-based development tools (Eclipse, Java, Ant, Bugzilla, Twiki)
basic knowledge of continuous integration tools (Hudson, CruiseControl, Maven)
intermediate to expert Red Hat linux user skills
basic unix/linux admin skills (Account creation, space and load monitoring and troubleshooting)
highly desirable to have experience with source code control tools, such as Subversion, CVS, Perforce, or Clearcase
Job Requirements:
occasionally able to work flexible hours for coordination with U.S-based teams
self-starter, self-motivated working independently or on small teams
carry a pager for off-hour emergency situations, including week ends
comp time available to offset off-hour work
off-hour work is rare, less than once a week
Salary Range: As per the industry Standard.
