Senior Software Engineer – CPASS Java
Number of Positions: 3
Technical Domain - Java / J2EE
Reports to: Product Development Lead - CPASS
The primary responsibility of the Senior Software Engineer will be to develop enhancements/fix bugs as part of the technical team for development of Foundation IP product.
Responsibilities:
· Write good quality code (Java/J2EE) and follow best practices of development paradigm
§ Investigate and fix software problems and implement functional enhancements.
§ Open and track change requests and resolve escalated bug incidents
· Test and release application fixes through various environments (dev/test/prod)
· Prepare project documentation as per company methodology and practices
· Follow good software configuration practices
. Gives attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
· Work with Indian, US and European teams to refine specifications for application development or enhancement
· Perform other tasks or participate in other projects as required
· Develop code for Client Customizations and enhance data migration tools
Requirements:
· Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer programming
· Must have at least 2 years’ experience in Java/J2EE Object Oriented Design
· Experience with JDBC, JSP and Servlets, JSF, JavaScript
· Experience with MS-SQL Server 2000/2005 and good knowledge of RDBMS concepts
· Experience with Hibernate, Spring, Webservices a plus
· Experience with Tomcat 5+ , Eclipse IDE a plus
· Should have consistently scored above 60% in
o 10th Std.
o 10+2
o Engineering Degree
· Good Understanding of Software Product Development concepts
· Ability to consistently perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines, all while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
· Excellent attention to detail and follow-through; process oriented
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience w/Code versioning systems (CVS, SVN) is desired
· Excellent analytical problem solving skills
· Self motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
Training Plan:
· The recruit will be introduced to the existing applications and standard operating procedures.
· Introductory training to Intellectual Property concepts will be provided.
