Job Description : Understand business goals/requirements and translate them into technical solution.
With understanding of business functional roadmap, he/she will design the key elements including application architecture, networking, system, security roadmap with primary focus on application integration and architecture.
Accountable for all technical aspects of project, design, scalability, and performance.
This individual will manage a technical development team both onsite and offshore to design a J2EE centric application architecture, solution design and implementation
Collaborate with Product Managers to scope and refine the requirements
Collaborate PMs and Sr. Technical Members of the team and ensure successful delivery.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to further improve user experience and enterprise integration.
Will be a key player in all phases of Project Management Initiation, Planning, Execution and Controlling.
Ensure product quality and be responsible for implementing and enforcing Quality Assurance process in all phases of product development
Will manage multiple projects in parallel.
Desired : At least 8 to 10 years of experience in architecting, designing and developing enterprise scale software products using J2EE techcnologies, database technologies etc.
At least 3 to 4 years of experience in Leading a team of 5 to 10 developers for product development
Must be a high performer, a very good team player with a very high degree of desire to produce quality products, a process oriented person, always strive for quality
Must have minimum of eight years of experience in software development
Must have excellent communication and documentation skill
Experience in Managing, Architecting, Designing and Developing Component-based, OO, Distributed Computing, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Model Driven Architecture (MDA), Framework Paradigm, Internet and Intranet based Applications
Must have worked as Lead Architect/Designer/Team Lead for enterprise scale application development, Team Lead for multiple projects managing large teams for application design/development, database development and testing
Experience in managing technical delivery in different phases of SDLC using standard methodology, Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Expertise in architecting and designing N-Tier enterprise application using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services technologies, Integration technologies, Workflow technologies (BPEL), Design Patterns, Messaging etc.
Experience in managing/leading software development in offshore model is a major plus.
