Sr. Developer(JAVA)
Job Profile:
The Sr. Developer is expected to report into the Project Lead, Java.
The Developer provides technical leadership to the project team by taking responsibility for specific projects and project architecture. This includes planning, issue resolution primarily related to technical issues amongst the team and/or the architecture of the projects, and quality assurance. He should have sound understanding of Design Patterns and best practices in Java.
S/he must have had prior knowledge of the entire SDLC of a software project, by having been involved in all phases of the SDLC, in previous organizations. S/he would be required to have a strong orientation towards quality assurance and testing of projects, aiding and guiding the team members to do likewise.
The Sr. Developer will be expected to have experience in project documentation (either entire or tracks of the SDLC of software projects).
S/he must be a strong team player. While guiding the team in the technical aspects of projects, the Sr. Developer also shares his/her learnings from previous projects with the team, thus promoting a collaborative working environment. S/he must have the ability to handle concurrent tasks related to multiple projects, often with conflicting priorities and deliveries.
The Sr. Developer must have good verbal and written communication skills in the English language, and demonstrate listening skills. S/he will be assisting the Team Lead and Project Manager in project planning, estimation and monitoring the progress of projects.
In performing the essential functions of this role, the work environment is fast-paced, moderately noisy and team-based.
Responsibilities:
·1 Writing code which is optimized and bug free.
·2 Architecting solutions and validating technical design of solutions, with emphasis on system integration and related issues.
·3 Utilizing his/her understanding of object oriented design and guiding / mentoring the team to adopt and follow the same methodologies.
·4 Orienting with and following the existing project organization and team-related processes.
·5 Communicating project status, risks and issues to project leadership.
·6 Contributing to a positive, collaborative and learning-oriented environment for the team. Actively shares knowledge and lessons learnt from project experiences.
·7 Participating in, and assisting with, company events such as hiring, identifying areas for and organizing training, and internal initiations.
·8 Project documentation.
