Job Description : Mainframe system programmers are responsible for the following but not limited to: (L3)
(a) installing, modifying and maintaining all Software set forth in Exhibit 5 that executes on the mainframe (and within Unix System Services) with the exception of application programs.
(b) Level 2 Support, Level 3 Support and Level 4 Support.
(c) coordinating and correcting break-fix solutions with appropriate vendors.
(d) Computer Associates ROSCOE Programming Facility used for program migrations and selected automation routines.
(e) use of BMC’s Control-O automation tool.
(f) administrating disk and tape using installed products.
(g) mainframe disaster recovery exercises (at least twice yearly).
(h) How to support for application developers regarding new or unique projects.
(i) TCP/IP, SNA, VTAM protocols, MQ Series and CICS.
(j) system performance and tuning.
(k) LRS product suite.
