Manager IT (Projects) GOSC
ROLE SPECIFICATION
The incumbent will be required to be a part of “IT” function responsible for the Global Operations Support Center and will be required to report to the Dir IT of the MetLife Global Operations Services Center
The role will clearly be responsible for managing the IT Function (in Data, Voice, Telephony and Network matters) of the MetLife Global Operations Support Center (GOSC) in both its Vendor and Proprietary phases of all identified processes and the key deliverables of the role will include but will not be restricted to the details below:
• Responsible for coordination with different groups to carry out testing during migrations phase. Basic telecom and application knowledge is required .
• Documentation skills and skills to support crisp project documentation on MS project/clarity is a must.
• Coordinate with Vendors, procurement and internal support teams for timely roll-out of new infrastructure.
• Map existing on-shore SLAs to offshore SLAs based on latency testing, tuning and offshore capabilities. Champion relationship and coordination between Offshore teams, BAU and vendors. Identify areas of improvement and projects to overcome process gaps. S/he would pioneer various projects for Operations which includes system enhancements and process reengineering. • The role is also the Central Contact point that will represent Technology Operations for all new process co-ordination.
SEARCH SPECIFICATIONS
IT professional with 7-10 years of project management for offshore migrations of processes (including infrastructure)
4-5 years work experience in a BPO IT function with a “rounded” view of business operations (from a IT standpoint)
Competencies / Skill requirements
• Individuals with MCA /MBA (Computers /Tech Applications ) / MTech / B Tech from premier schools would be clearly preferred; past background in BPO Ops clearly desirable
• Preferably PMP certified and familiar with ITIL framework.
• Proven track record clearly preferred.
• Strong People Leader with proven people and project skills – capable of motivating and coaching / influencing team especially in critical projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; Ability to articulate and influence clients / customers is a critical requirement.
• Should be capable of building and sustaining strong relationships with his / her own team, International Clients and Service Partners
• Must be open to work in shifts and migrate to Noida.
Work timing : 3 pm to 1 am.
