Applications and Software Tools Development – 3 to 11 years - positions is for AMD-bangalore
Education requirement: A Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 9-11 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience requirement:
• Proficient in C, C++ and C# programming
• Strong experience in using framework and libraries (Ex. .Net, STL, QT, MFC…)
• Good understanding with x86 architecture, experience with assembly programming and PC, Server system hardware, software-hardware interfacing techniques
• Familiarity with driver and good OS internal understanding
• Excellent software design skills and good experience with design patterns
• Experience with software development and debug tools on Windows (primarily) and Linux
• Experience with software version control systems and processes
• Experience in working with customers to meet their requirements and experience with agile methodology
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible to learn new areas and ability to multi-task across projects
• Should be able to technically mentor younger team members
• Ability to organize and manage priorities
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work across organizational boundaries
Primary purpose: To design and develop Windows (primarily) and Linux based software tools/applications
Key job functions: The Software Tools development team in the System Software Department develops software for AMD64 family of processors, chipsets, and motherboards. The target environment for the software includes post-silicon processor bring-up, processor validation, software development and product manufacturing.
