Produce software deliverables and technical documentation
Responsible for designing and coding software modules
Contribute to and review Software Requirement Specifications
Contribute to and review Design Documents
Responsible for bug fixes and escalations
Responsible for estimation of assigned module
Coming up with new ways to improve the product and software development practices

Education: B.E (or better) in Computer Science

Desired profile: Minimum of 3 years experience in software development
Strong background in Windows or Linux mandatory
Good English communication and writing skills
Good understanding of complete software development lifecycle
Good to have knowledge and skills in backup, archive or storage system development
Strong C++ skills
Experience in developing Oracle (or other any other database like DB2, Sybase, MS SQL Server) or Exchange (email) solutions is highly desirable
Good background in Windows and Unix
Past experience with POSIX, sockets, file systems highly desired
Knowledge of inner workings of databases and database backup methodologies highly desired
Knowledge of Sharepoint, Lotus Domino Server would be a plus point
Good to have experience in developing and debugging high performance client applications
Good to have experience in Java
Good to have knowledge of modern scripting and web development systems
