ABOUT THE GROUP
Avamar utilizes patented global data de-duplication technology to identify redundant data at the source, minimizing backup data before it is sent over the LAN/WAN. With Avamar, one can achieve new levels of data reduction and enable fast, secure backup and recovery for remote offices, data center LANs, and VMware environments, while reducing the amount of time required for backups, the growth of secondary storage, and network utilization. Avamar backups function like full backups and can be quickly recovered in just one step—without restoring full backups and subsequent incremental. In addition, Avamar verifies backup data recoverability—so there are no surprises—and encrypts data for secure electronic backups.
SKILLS
• Very strong on core Java skills, Object oriented technology. Good to have C++ programming skill, .NET and UML.
• Multi-platform, multi-OS (Windows, Linux, UNIX) development experience is mandatory. Experience on Mac OS is desirable.
• Experience in developing user interface for enterprise products and a strong understanding usability features is mandatory.
• Experience with web based UI, web services (RIA, AJAX), modern scripting languages (JavaScript, Perl etc.) is mandatory.
• Skills in various development tools (IDEs, debuggers, build tools, automation tools/scripts, SVN/CVS etc..) is mandatory.
• Experience with systems software such as OS internals, sockets, file systems is desirable.
• Good to have experience in developing and debugging high performance enterprise applications.
Education Required: B.E. (or better) in Computer Science
Exp: 7 - 10 years
