Philips Innovation Campus
Philips Innovation Campus (PIC), Bangalore is a division of Philips Electronics India Limited, which is owned 96% by Royal Philips Electronics N.V., The Netherlands. It was established in August 1996, with the objective of meeting the growing need for high-quality, cost-effective software development capacity within the Philips organization. From a share of 8% of the total software resource of Philips in 1998, PIC's share has now gone up and is around 20%.
Working at Philips Innovation Campus are about 1600 of the industry's finest professionals, using state-of-the-art software engineering paradigms and platforms including real-time systems, component-based software engineering, multi-threaded architecture and ASIC design methodologies in deep sub-micron technologies to drive the creation of tomorrow's products and services.
PIC is an ISO 9001/TickIT, SEI CMM SM Level 5 company and has emerged as a critical partner in the development of strategic and futuristic technologies for Philips worldwide.
PIC has built-up extensive know-how and expertise in the software engineering and technology domains relevant to its business. Its software expertise is primarily in the areas of embedded and information system engineering, architecture design, programming and testing. The IC design expertise is in the areas of logic and circuit design. In addition, competencies in the areas of project management, requirement engineering and quality assurance have been established to offer customers, products and services of the highest quality, at the fastest time-to-market and the lowest cost of ownership.

PMS provides end-to-end solutions, which extend over requirement definition, architecture, design, development and testing of software components for various medical modalities. Philips Mainstream Consumer Electronics Software Competence Centre at Philips Innovation Campus plays a crucial role in the product engineering of Philips Consumer Electronics Development Centres, worldwide, contributing software content to a wide range of high volume consumer electronics products such as the full range of Analog Televisions, VCR/TVCR, Digital TV, Upmarket TV, Mainstream TV, Superlarge TV, DVD, Digital Still Camera and more. In addition, it participates in product architecture and makes design level contributions to Philips Consumer Electronics product programs.
Philips Business Application Services
P-BAS India provides application services to business groups like CE, CT, lighting within Philips. One of the major focus areas is to provide application service, SAP domain. The service offerings include application development projects, SAP rollouts, change management and managed operations
Philips Research
Philips Research India - Bangalore (PRI-B) is the 5th group of Sector Information and Software Technology (IST), of Nat. Lab in Eindhoven. The group name is Design Technology for Triple S: Software, Silicon and System (DeTriS). The Research Group, functionally reports to the Sector Information and Software Technology, and operates as a division of Philips Innovation Campus (PIC).
The research activities at PRI-B will align to the International Research Program Embedded Platform and Software Technology (EPST). The group will be responsible in supporting the Long-Range Technical Objectives (LRTOs) Integrated Systems Design (ISD) and Embedded Software Technology (EST).
Philips Intellectual Property & Standards
The group at IP&S, Bangalore consists of highly qualified professionals in frontier technology specializations. The members have been trained and certified as Patent Information Specialists by the Netherlands Association for Patent Information at The Hague. The main activity of the group is novelty searches in areas such as water marking, cryptography, MPEG, audio/video recording, wired/wireless technologies, optical storages and recording, ambient intelligence, software systems, medical systems, semiconductor research, etc
Philips Applied Technologies
Philips Applied Technologies - Blr is capable of executing complete, innovative electronic systems locally in Bangalore including delivery of prototype quantities of these systems. Selected application domains include Digital Watermarking, Optical license defense, Channel formatting, Wireless.
Its relevant technical competencies are Signal processing algorithms, FPGA design, PCB design, Firmware development and Software development. It is also equipped with advanced tooling for FPGA, PCB design, and software development.
