Reports to: HOD (Engineering)
Job Purpose : To handle various geotechnical and foundation related issues related to projects, sites, tendering department etc. in consultation with Geotechnical Group Head / HOD.
Key Result Area : Successful resolving of geotechnical problems. Quality of soil/ geotechnical investigation, field and laboratory tests. Correctness of geotechnical parameters. Proper analysis of various geotechnical problem Proper execution of any geotechnical / foundation related work.
Key Responsibilities : To deal all foundation design related problems. To deal ground improvement related problems. To finalize appropriate foundation schemes. To finalize the design and optimization of earth retaining structures. To resolve soil / foundation related site issues. To Check and approve comments on geotechnical reports submitted by consultants.

Decision making Authority : Decisions to be made by the position holder: Finalize comments on the geotechnical investigation reports submitted by sites, sub contractor etc. Finalize the design of shallow and Deep foundations . Finalize the design Earth / Water Retaining Structure . Finalize the design of Ground Improvement Technique. Meetings with internal / external Clients. Meetings with Subcontractor or consultant.
Decisions in Consultative Mode / Referred to Higher Level: Suggestion of alternate foundation schemes. Resolving issues related to Geotechnical engineer referred by sites.Recommendation for Final foundation scheme.Recommendation for Final Earth / Water Retaining Structure. Recommendation for Final Ground Improvement Technique
Desired Qualification : 7.Qualification and Experience : B.E. (civil), M.Tech (Geotech) or M.E. (Geotech). Exp. Minimum 4 year as Geotech Design Engineer
